Wire Rope / Aircraft Cable       Bulk Cable & Cable cut to length   We cut cable by the foot and hold a tolerance of  ±1/16”.  We can strip up to 10” of coating per cable end.   Cable Assemblies All Montague Latch Company aircraft cable assemblies are made to your specifications.   We assemble cable stops, cable fittings and loops (options) .  We can also assemble rings and other hardware to the cable assemblies (please see our accessories page).  Please contact us with questions regarding specific applications.   Our standard cable is made from galvanized steel in 7 x 19 construction. This construction is stronger and more flexible than 7 x 7 construction.  Our standard diameter is 1/8”.  We stock bare cable, 3/16” clear and orange vinyl-coated cable, and 7/32” clear nylon-coated cable (type 11 nylon).   Our standard cable fittings (eyelets) are made from 1/8” steel and we stock both rounded-end eyelets with either a 1/4” hole or a 5/16” hole and a square-end eyelet with a 5/32” hole.   We stock 1/8”, 3/16”, and 7/32” aluminum loop sleeves and an 1/8” aluminum stop. When building cable assemblies using 1/8” eyelets, loop sleeves or cable stops, we strip the coating off of the end of the cable and swage the fitting directly to the bare cable.  Our 3/16” and 7/32” aluminum sleeves fit over the coating for on location loop assembly.  Please note that loops assembled with sleeves on bare cable are considerably stronger and more durable than those assembled with sleeves fitting over the coating.   If you wish to build your own cable assemblies, any component of our cable assemblies can be purchased individually. i.e.: heater hose handles, fittings, etc.
